Hollywood Riviera & Torrance Beach – Home to an International Triathlon Today!

Pacific Sports has brought an International Triathlon Union World Cup race to the streets of the Hollywood Riviera and to the sands/waters of Torrance Beach.   This is the 15th annual race for Pacific Sports, but the first time the race has been run in the city of Torrance.

1500 people participated in the race today.  The race consists of six divisions — pro, Olympic distance, sprint, super sprint, and two youth divisions, one for triathletes ages 7-10, the other for 11-14-year-olds. There will also be a separate 5-kilometer run.

The race has drawn triathletes from 19 states and 12 nations.

So exciting to watch for the local residents of the Hollywood Riviera!!
