This may not sound like something we would normally wish for here in Southern California – but we need some rain.  Here’s a photo taken at 7:30am on January 16, 2014, the morning the ‘Colby Fire’ started in the Angeles Crest Mountains.  We got ‘ash-rain’ here in the Hollywood Riviera as well as all the other beach cities: Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance Beach, Manhattan Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula area.
